Shane Fuller

 

Shane Fuller is currently the Assistant Director of Bands at Liberty High School in  Liberty,  Missouri. Formally under his leadership the band program at Smithville had enjoyed a great deal of success, including consistent Superior ratings at the Missouri State Large Ensemble Festival, honors at marching band and jazz band festivals, and active representation in honor band activities such as All-State Band and the State Music Festival. The Smithville High School Symphonic Band recently performed at the 2005 Missouri Music Educators Conference under Mr. Fuller's direction.

Prior to his position at Smithville, Mr. Fuller served as Director of Bands at Gallatin High School. Under his direction, the Gallatin High School Symphonic Band performed at the 1997 MMEA Conference. Mr. Fuller's public school teaching experience began in Winston, MO where he served as K-12 Director of Music. In 1994, the 25 member Winston High School Band received a Superior rating at the State Large Ensemble Festival under his direction.

He is also an active arranger and composer. His published works for band include "March of Valor", "African Safari", "Variations On Hyfrydol" and one jazz band chart entitled "Riff-N-The Ville". Fuller has solo and small ensemble works for percussion and woodwinds on the Missouri Graded Music list including "Songs For My Father", "Michael's Mayhem", "Aztec Legend" and "Drums on the Delta". His flute solo, "Songs For My Father", and snare drum solo, "Michael's Mayhem", received a very favorable review in the Instrumentalist Magazine. Mr. Fuller served as chief arranger for the 1999 Virginia Tattoo which is a show including mass military bands and a wide variety of other performing groups.

Share Fuller earned both a Bachelors and Masters Degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City. He currently resides in Smithville with his wife Darla and sons Michael and Timothy. Mr. Fuller is a member of Missouri Bandmasters Association, Missouri Music Educators Association, Music Educators National Conference and the Missouri State Teachers Association.
