Andy Isca

 

Andy Isca is a native of New York and long-time resident of Louisiana. He holds two degrees from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, and a post graduate degree from The American Conservatory of Music.  A retired band director, Andy is the former Director of Bands at Caldwell Parish High School and LaSalle High School and is a Laureate in the Legion of Honor of The John Philip Sousa Foundation (an honor given to only ten band directors yearly). In addition Andy is also a Past-President of The Association of Concert Bands. Currently Dr. Isca is an on air personality at NPR affiliate KEDM, and is the producer and host of “Bandscape”, a program of the finest band music from around the world. He is the founder and conductor of the Riverside Concert Band (a community based concert band now in their fifteenth year) and regularly guest conducts bands in the US and Europe.  Andy is active as a composer, conductor and clinician and is also the owner/technician of Professional Musical Instrument Repair Service.
